What the numbers show

  • Olim from the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Canada were 20.6% of arrivals in 2024 and 37.6% in 2025. Both the share and the number rose: 6,736 to 8,430, up 25.1%, while arrivals from Russia and Ukraine fell from 20,562 to 9,476.
  • People aged 18 to 29 were 25.4% of 2025 olim, and children under 18 were 21.5%.
  • Tel Aviv-Yafo, Netanya, Jerusalem and Haifa were the first localities of 47.8% of 2025 olim.
  • Russia was still the largest single origin in 2025, with 8,548 olim (38.1%).
  • 2022 was the largest year of the period, with 76,601 olim, 60,112 of them (78.5%) from Russia and Ukraine. The smallest was 2020, with 22,034; 2025 had 22,423.

Computed from the tables below. Ministry records, not the official CBS count: see the caveats.

Age at aliyah

Share of each year's olim by age at aliyah, then the same for each origin group in 2025. Where any age group from an origin is under 11, that origin's whole row is withheld, because its total is published and one hidden cell could otherwise be worked out by subtraction.

Read this before you use the numbers

  • Ministry records, not the official count. Each year's file has one row per oleh as the Ministry registered them. Totals differ from the Central Bureau of Statistics: for 2024 the Ministry file has 32,678 rows, while CBS counts 31,068 immigrants (Statistical Abstract 2025, table 2.39; Checked 2026-10-15. Next review due 2027-10-15. ). Use CBS for the national total and this data for where and who.
  • The first locality, not where people stay. The "absorbing locality" is the first locality registered at aliyah. Many olim move later, and this data cannot show it.
  • Small places can rank high for one reason. A small locality can appear in a table because many arrivals were registered there at once, as can happen where a group programme operates. Do not read a ranking as a preference without checking.
  • Origin groups. The 18 largest countries of origin are named; every other country is grouped as "All other countries". Age is age at aliyah, in five bands.
  • Small groups are hidden. Any figure under 11 is shown as <11 or left out, and a few larger figures are withheld too where a hidden one could otherwise be worked out from the totals, as the method requires.
  • What the records do not hold. No household link, no outcomes (work, Hebrew or income) and no record of who later left Israel. They describe arrival only.

How it was built
The eleven yearly files (384,688 rows) were aggregated to year, locality, origin group and age band, then reduced to the tables on this page. The build stops if the yearly totals of the different aggregations disagree, suppresses every figure under 11 and then withholds any further figure that would let a hidden one be worked out by subtraction.
