Every figure here carries the date a person last checked it against its source. This page reports how we are doing, computed live from the same records the rest of the site renders from. We publish it because a promise about accuracy that nobody can audit is just a claim.
What happens when we fall behind

It goes into the review queue with a date on it. Nothing changes for you.

Overdue
We stop stating it as fact and start hedging it. You will see it marked as needing a re-check rather than presented as current.

Withdrawn
Past 2 times its own review period, it comes off the site entirely. We would rather be visibly thinner than quietly wrong, and this is the part a PDF cannot do.
