The honest part

How we make money.

Aliyahu is free to use, and we intend to keep it that way. To pay for itself, it will earn money from some of the tools and services it points you to. That only works if the advice stays honest, so here is exactly how we plan to earn, and the rules that keep our recommendations yours and not the highest bidder’s.

Where the money comes from

  • Referral fees. When we recommend a tool such as a money-transfer service and you choose to use it through our link, the company may pay us a small fee. It costs you nothing extra.
  • Introductions to vetted professionals. Where you need a specialist, a cross-border tax accountant, a licensed mortgage broker, we may earn a fee for the introduction. We only introduce people we would send a friend to.
  • A paid concierge, one day. We plan to offer a paid option for people who want us to do the last mile with them, assemble the documents, book the appointments, track every deadline. That is a service you would choose and pay for directly. It never changes what the free site tells you.

The rules that keep it honest

These are not just promises. Most of them are built into how the site works, so a paid link literally cannot appear unless they are satisfied.

  1. 1

We rank by what helps you, never by what pays us

Our recommendations are chosen on merit. There is no "how much does this pay" field anywhere in how we sort or pick, so favouring the highest payer is not something we have to resist. It is not possible in the first place.

  2. 2

If we would not recommend it for free, we do not take a fee on it

Every paid link sits behind a single test: would we still send you here with no commission attached? If the answer is no, there is no link. A pick has to earn the recommendation before it is allowed to earn us anything.

  3. 3

We always show you a way around our link

Next to any paid link we name an unaffiliated route: your own bank, a direct search, a competitor worth comparing. You never have to go through us, and we tell you so on the spot.

  4. 4

We disclose every paid link, in plain words, before you click

When a link earns us a fee, it says so right there, not in a footer you will never read. The fee costs you nothing extra and it does not change your price.

  5. 5

We never take a commission the law does not allow

Insurance and mortgage products are regulated in Israel and require a licence to earn a commission on. We do not pretend otherwise. Where we point you to a licensed broker, it is an introduction, never a cut of your policy.

  6. 6

The money never edits the advice

The reason behind every recommendation is written down and dated, the same way every figure on this site carries its source and the day we checked it. If a pick changes, you can see that it changed and why. Revenue is not allowed a vote.

Think we have got this wrong somewhere, or spotted a recommendation that does not pass these tests? Tell us. Holding us to this is the whole point.
